Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering or equivalent required
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of the English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
  • Ability to understand project timelines and manage time efficiently to meet those deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, teamwork skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and format information within a document
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions (written, oral, or diagram) and follow with precision
  • Capability of developing new documentation methods and standards
  • Active listening skills by listening and asking appropriate questions
  • Familiarity with machine construction and application
  • Clear communication (written and verbal) skills to convey information
  • Active learning by learning about new equipment and industry requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Consult with Project Management, Mechanical Designer(s), Automation Programmer(s) and Controls Designer(s) to develop appropriate documentation and ensure accuracy
  • Review and understand URS and other documents that outline customer requirements regarding documentation
  • Work closely with customer representatives to ensure technical documentation meets the customer needs
  • Develop appropriate plan to meet the documentation requirements and deadlines
  • Develop systems operator manual after reviewing the operation of machine
  • Work with Mechanical Designer(s), Automation Programmer(s) and Controls Designer(s) to create, review, and edit biomedical and/or pharmaceutical industry specifications, included but not limited to: FDS, HDS, SDS, DDS, VDS
  • Work with Engineering team to create and revise machine testing protocols including FAT, SAT, IQOQs
  • Maintain revision control and complete trace matrixes documents as required
  • Review documents for logic, clarity, comprehensiveness, relevance and organization, format, flow, grammar, punctuation, and spelling for compliance with customer standards, style guidance, and publication policies
  • Make recommendations on revisions and documentation template improvements
  • Demonstrate customer service excellence by clearly and concisely communicating with managers and customers
  • Remain current on new developments in technical writing and editing
