About The Position

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Journeyman Technical Writer to support DoD and federal defense customers. This role involves developing, editing, and organizing technical documentation, reports, and analyses for mission-critical programs within a structured government environment. The position is located in Chantilly, Virginia, and requires a minimum of 5 days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience performing duties within a DoD, federal, or defense-support environment.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a structured, mission-driven, and customer-facing government setting.
  • Experience supporting programs with defined task orders, performance metrics, and delivery timelines.
  • Ability to comply with all federal government contracting, suitability, and security requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to attain government clearance; SECRET preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 4-7 years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps organizational structures, operational processes, or logistics/IT environments.
  • Understanding of federal acquisition, compliance, or operational frameworks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance at the level required by the task order.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting USMC, DoD, or other federal defense organizations.
  • Experience briefing or supporting senior government or military leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provides skilled technical writing support for projects.
  • Assists in collecting and organizing information required for preparation of reports, studies, and analyses.
  • Edits customer deliverables and documents.
  • Works independently or under general direction.
