About The Position

Unique position identifying and assessing issues with technical documentation for Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) (C4ISR) components and systems. Integrates support elements and resources into technical documentation to ensure schedule, scope, and quality are met during development, revision, editing, and publishing. Technical documentation required to ensure lifecycle support of C4I components and systems includes Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Computer Aided Drawings (CAD), Bill of Materials (BOM)/Parts List (PL), Test Procedure, First Article Unit, Wiring Diagram, Assembly Instructions, Disassembly Instructions, and Paint Procedure. Must possess significant technical writing experience, including the ability to liaise with and between an engineering staff and average joe’s (with little or no technical experience). Must have the ability to understand technical requirements (technical publications and drawings); research and collect parts, systems, and programs data and research obsolescence issues. Must be experienced and comfortable working with other contractor personnel and interfacing/coordinating with Government Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs). Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills including ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Requirements

  • Three years current or other relative experience supporting DoD C4ISR projects with analysis, generation, tracking, and corrections of relevant data.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a group environment and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in resolving process procedures and conflicts to optimize outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Secret US DoD security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer aided design (CAD) skills.
  • Quality Management System (QMS) experience compatible with ISO 9001:2015.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and assessing issues with technical documentation for C4ISR components and systems.
  • Integrating support elements and resources into technical documentation to ensure schedule, scope, and quality are met during development, revision, editing, and publishing.
  • Ensuring lifecycle support of C4I components and systems through various technical documentation types (WBS, CAD, BOM/Parts List, Test Procedure, First Article Unit, Wiring Diagram, Assembly Instructions, Disassembly Instructions, Paint Procedure).
  • Liaising with and between engineering staff and individuals with little or no technical experience.
  • Understanding technical requirements, including technical publications and drawings.
  • Researching and collecting parts, systems, and programs data.
  • Researching obsolescence issues.
  • Working with other contractor personnel.
  • Interfacing and coordinating with Government Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs).
  • Communicating verbally and in writing.
