Job Summary: Alluvionic is seeking a Technical Writer I to support the United States Marshals Service (USMS) Training Division at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Brunswick, GA. The Technical Writer will create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation supporting all required taskings requested by Training Division management. Clearance Required : Yes – Obtain a Public Trust This is an onsite position.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
Must have two years of specialized experience in the duties described above
Effective technical writing and oral communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal employees and outside sources
Exhibit a high level of confidentiality
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change
Must possess analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Must be proficient in MS Office software
Ability to develop organizational strategies to formulate an implementation plan
Working knowledge of SharePoint

Responsibilities

Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy
Write and edit user-friendly content for various types of documentation, including user guides, manuals, and tutorials
Organize and maintain a centralized repository of all documentation
Update documentation as needed to reflect product changes and enhancements
Editing/proofing policy directives and the strategic plan for grammatical and formatting errors and content inconsistencies
Gathering information from various sources, providing data analysis and recommending process improvements
Providing additional general support, i.e. tracking policy directives and the strategic planning process, providing weekly and monthly status reports, etc.
