About The Position

We are looking for a Technical Webflow Developer / Frontend Engineer to join our tight-knit, collaborative 4-person web team. We operate as a "T-shaped" team. This means that day-to-day, our entire team shares ownership of publishing new content, managing CMS entries, and keeping our digital footprint active. However, when technical projects arise, you are deployed as our technical lead. You will be the code-first brain of our site—partnering with our UX/UI designer to build highly performant, modular components, writing custom JavaScript logic, structuring scalable CMS architectures, and acting as our strict guardian of Core Web Vitals. If you are a developer who views Webflow as a powerful visual interface for writing professional-grade HTML, CSS, and JS (rather than just a drag-and-drop design tool), and you take pride in building scalable systems that empower your team, this role was built for you.

Requirements

  • Deep, production-level experience with the Webflow Designer, CMS collection structures, and template pages.
  • You write clean, semantic HTML5, modern CSS3 (flexbox, grid, responsive units), and Vanilla JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Direct experience auditing and improving page-speed bottlenecks (render-blocking scripts, heavy DOM depth, unoptimized assets).
  • You don't build one-off, fragile page elements; you build robust, self-contained components with clear boundaries so they remain stable and scalable no matter where they are placed on the site.
  • You are excited to be the technical expert on a small team, meaning you are happy to handle quick content edits and daily publishing alongside the team, while maintaining absolute pride and discipline in your custom code.

Nice To Haves

  • Good understanding of Webflow's native Interactions (IX2/IX3) engine and CSS transitions to build smooth, responsive, and lightweight animations that elevate the UX without bloating page load speeds.
  • Familiarity with Webflow extension libraries (like Finsweet Attributes).

Responsibilities

  • Translate wireframes and designs into robust Webflow structures using standard naming methodologies (e.g., Finsweet Client-First) to ensure the site is modular, clean, and easily maintainable.
  • Extend Webflow's native capabilities by writing clean, performant, vanilla JavaScript to handle DOM manipulation, custom event listeners, and custom component logic (such as interactive navigation systems).
  • Design and build smart CMS automation. For example, building logic-driven "event" components that dynamically hide or update themselves based on real-time date and time parameters without manual intervention.
  • Build components and page modules with zero-dependency reusability in mind. When you write custom CSS, interactions, or JavaScript, it must be packaged cleanly into Webflow components so that other team members can drag, drop, and publish them across the site without needing you to write new code or touch custom CSS. Your success is measured by how independent the rest of the team is when using your builds.
  • Participate alongside the rest of the team in day-to-day web updates, standard page publishing, and content management.
  • Own our site’s technical health. You will actively monitor and debug page performance using Chrome DevTools and Lighthouse.
  • Act as the voice of reason during design handoffs. If a proposed page is too long or a design layout is too heavy, you will collaborate on how to trim assets, optimize code, and preserve lightning-fast load times.
  • Partner closely with our UX/UI designer to bring layout concepts to life, ensuring they are responsive, clean under the hood, and optimized for speed.
  • Work closely with the Web Manager (who has a technical background and acts as your backup) to maintain organized documentation of our codebase and custom scripts.

Benefits

  • Work from Anywhere era
