Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Ability and desire to train in a criterion reference-based training program
  • Detail oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently in a high-pressure environment with minimal or no guidance with a aptitude towards training
  • Minimum High School education or equivalent in addition to significant training and knowledge of the material handling industry
  • Reasonable level of computer literacy in Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Good communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people and backgrounds
  • Ability to mentor and take ownership of developing technicians’ abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Raymond, Toyota and ASE certifications are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair lift trucks and material-handling equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and field service repairs
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery
  • Facilitate training to the standards of Welch Equipment and the brands it supports
  • Provide classroom, shop, and field training focused on safe work practices, scheduled maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, repair techniques, and technician development
  • Support training and initiatives that drive additional parts and labor sales opportunities
  • Communicate in a manner that promotes learning
  • Travel to branch locations, training locations, and customer sites, as assigned
  • Maintain a constant focus on safety and compliance
  • Additional duties as assigned
