Data Center Operations Technician
About The Position
Maintain the hardware infrastructure supporting the latest cloud computing server technologies. The role involves quickly and accurately resolving issues with server and network hardware through root cause analysis, using knowledge of computers, servers, network devices, and command-line diagnostics. This is a contract-to-hire role based in Johnstown, Ohio. The position is fully onsite and requires 12-hour shifts on an alternating three-day/four-day schedule, with back-half days running from Wednesday or Thursday through Saturday. Schedules may be adjusted to meet business needs, including extending shifts up to 12 hours, possible night shifts, and other changes. Modifications will be communicated in advance when possible.
Requirements
- Technical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate advanced technical information to people with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Good situational awareness.
- Ability to contribute to strong inter-team and intra-team development.
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Experience or skills in data center operations, hardware troubleshooting, and break/fix.
