About The Position

The K-12 Technology & Data Compliance Specialist will interface with operational management and Site Supervisors, and kitchen leads to analyzing and supporting internal system solutions. Ideal candidates will have the opportunity to support systems as well as work within a team and independently. As a Tech specialist you will also provide support to a variety of point-of-service solutions including, but not limited to Point of Sale, manager computers, handheld devices such as iPads and chrome books, and peripherals for these devices such as keypads, scanners, and register drawers.

Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Applications
  • Knowledge of Basic Networking
  • Requires strong analysis, organization, communications, interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving and project management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hospitality and customer technologies preferred

Responsibilities

  • Significant responsibility in system maintenance and supporting critical business applications
  • Adheres to consistent process and standardizations which enhance the overall IT value proposition
  • Responsible for proactive support and maintenance around Point-of-Sale systems
  • Responsible for proactive support and maintenance around network infrastructure and telecom services.
  • Help maintain compliance with all USDA programs
  • Data entry and verification

  • Provides technical support for the application, interfaces, and any customizations
  • Supervises support issues, ensures resolution plans and reports progress to management
  • Proactively maintains systems and carries out preventative maintenance plans
  • Maintains district IT inventory and coordinates replacement plans for devices
  • Supervises system status and reacts to issues as they arise
  • Work with users to define and evaluate business needs, challenges and inefficiencies that may be resolved through automated solutions
  • Analyze, review, and alter systems, programs, and applications to increase operating efficiency or to adapt tone requirements
  • Review and validate site reports to ensure data accuracy, consistency and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Performs accurate data entry and validation of daily sales figures, cashier reports and site reporting information
  • Responsible for communicating any defects to vendors and application owners and for coordinating testing and implementation of fixes
  • Works closely with others to ensure service levels are being met and risk to the business is minimal
  • Communicates with District IT and site users regarding any system enhancements and or scheduled upgrades
  • Participates in technical and functional training classes as necessary or required
