About The Position

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. (AHI) is seeking an experienced Technical Support Representative to act as a liaison between their engineering teams and customers. This role involves ensuring the airworthiness of rotorcraft fleets and providing critical safety advice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Airbus models and a commitment to customer service excellence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of rotorcraft technical experience
  • 2+ years of experience on Airbus model AS332/H225 Super Puma
  • FAA A&P License (AMT)
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret contracts, data deliverables, and procedures.
  • Proficiency with basic electrical and complex mechanical skills.
  • High level of product knowledge for the supported products.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings (blueprints) and engineering documentation.
  • Proficiency with Siebel, SAP, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Able to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Vision should allow for driving and working with tools and computers for troubleshooting aircraft.
  • Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Needs to be alert and able to listen all of the time while at work.
  • Speaking: able to speak and communicate clearly and concisely in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications on a daily or as needed basis.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment on a daily basis.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 50lbs/23gs.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 50lbs/22kgs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull aircraft tools, ground handle aircraft and some equipment and tools, small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer on a daily basis.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor or at tradeshows and demonstrations.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces and hangar or flight line areas multiple times a week.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, or technical database to assist with questions regarding assigned products (Light helicopters, Medium Twins, or Heavy Helicopters).
  • Help customers troubleshoot problems, provide information, documentation, repair requests, and technical requests.
  • Support Regional Technical Representatives by providing advice, documentation, troubleshooting assistance, and direction on complex support topics.
  • Develop, implement, and distribute maintenance procedures through notices and bulletins to ensure safe and cost-effective aircraft operations.
  • Review part replacements and cannibalizations for technical merit and alternative solutions, recommending cost-effective and technically sound actions.
  • Assist in the accumulation and analysis of technical data related to aircraft service.
  • Identify trends in service problems and develop procedures/instructions to resolve them.
  • Compile failure and service history on company products for reliability analysis.
  • Conduct special studies and investigations related to chronic problems and identify probable causes.
  • Make recommendations for technical changes to improve operations, safety, and operating costs.
  • Support marketing activities such as demonstrations, tradeshows, presentations, and seminars.
