About The Position

Micro Center is seeking full-time Technical Support Representatives for its Corporate Office in Hilliard, Ohio. The role supports a best-in-class customer experience by providing technical assistance and helping customers find appropriate technology solutions. Representatives troubleshoot products, assist with setup and issue resolution, and identify opportunities to recommend upgrades, accessories, and additional services. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment, willing to learn, and passionate about customer service and technology. The position requires availability to work between 9:00 a.m. and midnight, including weekends. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Strong listening, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Accurate and efficient typing proficiency.
Ability to multitask effectively while managing priorities.
Flexibility and adaptability when working with diverse customer needs and personalities.
Availability to work between 9:00 a.m. and midnight, including weekends.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in customer service or a related field.
Passion for technology, including computers and electronics.

Responsibilities

Manage large volumes of inbound contacts promptly through phone, chat, text, and email.
Maintain a general understanding of current consumer electronic devices and technology.
Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, qualify issues, and offer solutions.
Personalize support to improve customer satisfaction.
Accurately document customer contacts and enter them into the appropriate database.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships to support teamwork.
Meet personal and team goals.
Troubleshoot customer issues, assist with product setup and resolution, and recommend relevant upgrades, accessories, and services.
