About The Position

We are seeking a highly detailed and proactive candidate to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will serve as the first line of defense for product quality by performing rigorous incoming and in-process inspections. The ideal candidate possesses a sharp eye for detail, strong mechanical inspection skills, and hands-on experience with tool calibration.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in using standard metrology/inspection equipment and performing tool calibrations.
  • Sharp eye for detail, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of quality management systems, manufacturing standards, and shop floor controls.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Google applications, and quality software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate quality guidance effectively and professionally to the manufacturing team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot defects and anomalies during visual and mechanical inspections.
  • Proven ability to perform precise measurements and tool calibrations using standard metrology equipment.
  • Solid understanding of quality management systems, manufacturing standards, and shop floor control documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving quality deviations encountered in the manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to exercise good judgment while effectively communicating quality guidance to internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, key product characteristics, and quality inspection procedures.
  • Execute First Article Assessments for new parts and revisions to validate supplier manufacturing capabilities.
  • Perform and oversee the calibration of precision measurement tools and equipment, ensuring all tools on the shop floor remain in compliance. Complete all calibration paperwork including impact analysis reports.
  • Identify, segregate, and process internal non-conforming materials (DMR) for proper disposition. Support quality activities related to Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
  • Work with the quality team to compete verifications and validations related to corrective actions (CAPAs) or other non-conformances to ensure they are actively followed and sustained.
  • Support internal, ISO, and customer audits. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality processes.
