About The Position

This position will provide advanced technical support for all technology-related operations, contributing to the success of the organization's goals and strategic objectives. The Technical Support Engineer I will offer comprehensive technical assistance, which includes managing, maintaining, and optimizing critical functional areas, such as applications, tools, and hardware resources.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education, relevant certifications.
  • Fundamental experience supporting various operating systems.
  • Fundamental experience supporting desktop and server environments.
  • Fundamental experience creating automation for installations, configuration changes, and system management.
  • Fundamental experience troubleshooting pre-deployment and post-go-live issues.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to lift 30lbs, walking, sitting, and standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to travel and be on an on call rotation
  • One year of related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent working experience or 4 years related experience.
  • Experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualization environments such as VMWare
  • Experience in desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 7/10, Server 2008/2012
  • Experience with PowerShell, VBScript, and batch scripting languages
  • Experience creating custom scripts to lead installs, uninstalls, custom actions and system management.
  • 4 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy applications, patches, and updates to the Choctaw Nation desktop environment.
  • Maintain and deploy PowerShell scripts to supplement packaging and other support tools as required.
  • Maintain knowledge bases and FAQ resources on the file server to aid in problem resolution.
  • Troubleshoot production support issues post deployment.
  • Provide support to Technical Support Specialists to help them serve the End-User community more proficiently.
  • Modify configurations, utilities, and software default settings for VDI.
  • Modify configuration, utilities, and maintain Print roaming services and Single sign on software.
  • Create, test, and deploy software packages through EPM and Group policy.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by management.
