About The Position

Provide technical and operational support for audiovisual and instructional technology across classrooms, conference rooms, and university event venues. Troubleshoot, maintain, install, and operate AV systems while delivering professional support to faculty, staff, students, and event participants.

Requirements

• Associate degree in IT, Electronics, AV Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years supporting, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining professional/enterprise AV systems.
• Experience supporting live events, meetings, classrooms, or executive presentations.
• Experience with help desk/ticketing systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical AV support duties.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and non-standard hours.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Higher education AV/instructional technology experience.
• AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS).
• Experience/certifications with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, or similar enterprise AV platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, cameras, control systems, presentation equipment, and video conferencing platforms.
• Perform system testing, preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and minor AV installations/replacements.
• Document service requests, repairs, maintenance, and equipment changes in ticketing/inventory systems.
• Provide AV support for conferences, meetings, commencements, executive events, and other university programs.
• Assist users with classroom technology, presentations, and conferencing platforms.
• Coordinate technical requirements with event organizers and respond to issues during events.
• Provide evening, weekend, holiday, and other non-standard coverage as required.
