About The Position

We are seeking an AV Instructional Technology Technician to provide technical and operational support for audiovisual systems in classrooms, conference rooms, meeting spaces, and university event venues.

Requirements

• Associate degree in IT, Electronics, Audiovisual Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience supporting professional or enterprise AV systems.
• Experience troubleshooting, installing, operating, and maintaining AV equipment.
• Experience supporting live events, meetings, classroom technology, or presentations.
• Familiarity with help desk or ticketing systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and moving equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Higher education AV or instructional technology experience.
• AVIXA CTS certification.
• Experience with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, or similar AV platforms.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support AV equipment, including projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, cameras, control systems, and video conferencing platforms.
• Perform routine testing, preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and minor installations or replacements.
• Provide AV support for classes, meetings, conferences, commencements, and other university events.
• Assist faculty, staff, students, and guests with classroom and presentation technology.
• Document service requests, repairs, maintenance, and equipment changes using ticketing or inventory systems.
• Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other non-standard hours as needed.
