About The Position

Mfinite Consulting is building a pool of technical, solution, and enterprise architects for contract assignments with North Carolina state and public-sector agencies in the Raleigh area. Assignments typically run 12 months and often have extensions. Agencies determine whether the schedule is onsite, hybrid, or remote. The role is a full-time contract assignment, approximately 40 hours per week, as a W-2 hourly employee of Mfinite Consulting LLC, paying $46–$58 per hour based on experience and skill level. Pay is made by direct deposit. Architects design solutions and architecture for new and existing systems, develop technical standards and roadmaps, and assess whether proposed solutions align with the State’s enterprise architecture. They work with agency subject-matter experts, business liaisons, and NCDIT to align business and IT needs, advise decision makers on compliant and cost-effective options, and research technology and market trends in their architecture area. Requirements

Architecture or senior engineering experience; experience bands are Junior: 1–3 years, Mid-Level: 3–5 years, Senior: 5–7 years, and Expert: 7+ years.
Hands-on background in cloud (Azure or AWS), integration/APIs, data, or infrastructure.
Strong diagramming and written documentation skills.
Eligible to work in the U.S.
Able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, or similar certification.
Public-sector enterprise architecture experience.

Responsibilities

Design solution, application, technical, or domain architecture for new and existing systems.
Develop technical standards, reference architectures, patterns, blueprints, and technology roadmaps.
Assess whether proposed solutions fit the State’s enterprise architecture, including hardware, network, software, and security.
Guide decision makers toward the most compliant and cost-effective option.
Work with agency subject-matter experts, business liaisons, and NCDIT to align business and IT.
Research technology and market trends in the relevant architecture area.
