About The Position

At ABB, we help industries run leaner and cleaner. This position reports to the Sales Excellence Leader and will support the Electrification IBC (Industries, Building, Channel) Sales organization and customers during the proposal process. The role serves as a key technical resource in the assigned area, preparing technical descriptions of products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation. While this is a remote position, successful candidates will be located in the Mountain District: Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Nebraska and South Dakota. This role contributes to the Electrification Division in the United States.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR a high school diploma / GED) and 10+ years of experience in sales experience in the electrical industry.
Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs.
Strong oral, written communication skills and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with contractors and channel partners a plus.
Strong technical application, take-off, and proposal development skills desired.
Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools preferred.
Understanding of CRM system, SFDC preferred

Responsibilities

Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.
Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.
Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems; and ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.
