About The Position

As BLUEWATER continues to grow, we are looking to add a Technical Sales Representative to our team. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Technical Sales Representative will apply their subject matter expertise to help customers understand their storage needs, evaluate practical options and make informed decisions. This role is consultative and technical in nature, focused on problem solving, education and long-term customer support for Bluewater Engineered Storage Systems. The role will ideally be based in the Eastern United States and will support both existing and new clients across the country.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the bolted tank industry.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a sales or customer service role within the bolted tank industry.
  • Proven ability to apply technical knowledge in a consultative, customer-focused environment while supporting profitable growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and qualify key decision makers.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and interact effectively with engineers, contractors and owners.
  • Consistent record of achieving key performance indicators, sales targets and professional development goals.
  • Strong organizational, communication and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to guide customers through prospecting, technical discussions, education on available options, needs assessment, presentations, concern resolution and decision support aligned with project requirements.
  • Results-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Ability to travel throughout the United States and Canada without restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including consulting engineers, local government representatives, contractors and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop new customer relationships by educating prospects, understanding their challenges and recommending appropriate technical solutions.
  • Listen carefully to customer requirements, clarify project constraints and help identify the most effective path forward.
  • Develop and implement educational plans, including presentations, technical discussions, regional trade show support and training seminars that position BLUEWATER as a knowledgeable resource for customers and project stakeholders.
  • Identify and track projects through variable-length sales cycles, from budgeting and estimating through bidding and transition to the Project Management group.
  • Support sustainable business growth by building trust, providing responsive technical guidance and helping customers solve storage-related challenges.
  • Prepare quotation requisitions, including specifications, pricing and scheduling.
  • Bid projects and coordinate subcontractors through final pricing.
