About The Position

Prelim is hiring its first dedicated recruiter. Prelim is a profitable, remote-first company that is doubling revenue year over year, and hiring is now the constraint on growth. The recruiter will learn to run full-cycle recruiting across engineering, sales, and implementations, trained by the people who built the recruiting process. The company is looking for someone sharp, fast, and relentless about improving. The interview loops, rubrics, and processes are already built; the recruiter's job is to master them, run them, and eventually make them better than the company could. Prelim is a San Francisco and New York City-based startup that operates with fully remote positions across the US, helping banks onboard their customers. The platform is designed to streamline the account opening process for both consumers and businesses, accelerating speed-to-market and enhancing the customer experience for financial institutions. Requirements

Clear communicator with strong writing skills: you’ll write JD’s, reports, debriefs, offer letters, and internal documentation
Genuine interest in people: reading them, persuading them, advocating for them
Output volume you can point to — a role where you handled high throughput (customers served, calls made, events run, tickets closed)
Evidence you learn hard things fast — what, how quickly, and what the result was
A track record of top-tier performance: early promotion, top ranking, a team you led, a business you started

Responsibilities

Run full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, scheduling, and supporting offers through close
Fill pipelines with cold outreach, referrals, and events — not just process inbound applications
Partner with hiring managers to understand what “exceptional” looks like for each role
Help run campus recruiting efforts
Track pipeline metrics and report what’s working and what isn’t
Protect candidate experience — fast loops, honest communication, clean closes
