Technical Recruiter

Dimensional

About The Position

Dimensional is building the foundation for physical intelligence in general-purpose robotics. We develop a unified framework that enables robots to perceive, reason, learn, and act across diverse real-world environments and embodiments. Dimensional’s mission is to make physical intelligence programmable, scalable, and accessible -- accelerating the development of generalist robots that can adapt, learn, and perform reliably in the real world. Our platform sits between robot hardware and AI models, providing a modular, composable architecture for training and deploying robotic intelligence at scale. By abstracting hardware differences and standardizing core capabilities—such as perception, spatial understanding, decision-making, and control—Dimensional allows developers and partners to build, transfer, and operate robotic skills efficiently across platforms. Lead end-to-end technical recruiting across the U.S. headquarters and the Shenzhen office — our talent engine in both markets. Dimensional hires with an evidence-heavy pipeline (real-code takehomes, structured evaluations, high bars), and you will run that machine: sourcing exceptional robotics, embedded, and software engineers in both China and the U.S., closing candidates against big-tech offers, and keeping a pipeline moving across 3 time zones. This is an early, high-ownership seat — you will define how Dimensional hires.

Requirements

  • Mandarin AND English proficiency are hard requirements — professional working fluency in both, spoken and written. You will interview U.S. candidates in English, write candidate communications and internal updates in English, and work Chinese candidates and channels in Mandarin, daily.
  • Proven ability to recruit in BOTH Mainland China and the U.S. is a hard requirement — you can point to searches you have successfully closed in each market. Single-market experience does not meet the bar.
  • Bachelor's degree or above with 5+ years of recruiting experience in internet, technology, or related industries, including a track record hiring technical roles (software / embedded / robotics).
  • Solid experience in mid-to-senior-level recruiting or executive search, with strong talent-mapping and delivery capability — you find people who aren't looking.
  • Able to operate independently in a distributed, async, documentation-heavy environment — short honest written updates, strong stakeholder communication, no hand-holding.
  • Self-driven, structured, and results-oriented; respects an evidence-based evaluation process and delivers consistently in a fast-changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Agency / search-firm background (contingency or retained).
  • Experience recruiting for U.S. companies in China or supporting cross-border hiring; familiarity with the Greater Bay Area robotics/hardware talent ecosystem.
  • Fluency with modern ATS tooling (Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever) and comfort using AI tools in your daily workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full recruitment cycle for technical roles across the U.S. headquarters and Shenzhen office: intake, sourcing, interview and technical-evaluation coordination, reference checks, offer negotiation, and onboarding follow-up.
  • Source proactively in the China market — Boss Zhipin, Liepin, Maimai, GitHub, and the robotics ecosystem (Unitree, DJI, Pudu alumni networks and beyond) — not just post-and-wait.
  • Source proactively in the U.S. market — LinkedIn, GitHub, open-source communities, and industry networks — for San Francisco headquarters roles, operating fluently within U.S. candidate norms, compensation expectations, and hiring practices.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business plans and role profiles to provide practical talent solutions; track recruiting data and feedback to continually improve process efficiency, sourcing strategy, and candidate experience.
  • Manage the ATS (Ashby) pipeline, cross-time-zone scheduling, and candidate communication; keep the takehome/PR-review process closing on time.
  • Build the foundations: employer branding in both markets, talent mapping (the Shenzhen/Hangzhou/Shanghai robotics ecosystem and the U.S. robotics/AI talent market), structured interview coordination — partnering directly with founders and engineering leads on role definitions, market intelligence, and offer strategy.
