About The Position

Researches, recruits, screens, interviews, and refers job candidates, and negotiates compensation and deploys resources for VMS client job openings. This role serves as the main point of contact for order fulfillment with all VMS clients, managing the entire process from order submission review to onboarding and assignment completion. The specialist will also manage job postings, utilize online recruiting sources, maintain communication with clients and candidates, and develop a network of contacts to source qualified candidates. Additionally, the role involves reviewing resumes for quality control, screening candidates for cross-submittal opportunities, performing prep calls, and maintaining candidate records in database systems. The Technical Recruiter Specialist partners with Client Services and Operations Manager to ensure compliance standards are met, may be involved in pay rate negotiations, and informs candidates about job duties, compensation, and working conditions. This position is also the main point of contact for employee relations and client issues, requiring proactive problem-solving and documentation of performance reports. Staying updated on EOR and wage/hour compliance, and assisting with Unemployment and Workers Compensation claims are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) in a related field, one to two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for order fulfillment with all VMS clients.
  • Manage the entire order fulfillment process, including distribution, submission review, candidate interview scheduling, offer proposals, onboarding, orientation, and assignment completion.
  • Review and edit job descriptions provided by clients.
  • Manage job postings, including writing and placing recruitment advertising in various media and social media boards.
  • Utilize Internet online recruiting sources and direct recruiting procedures to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Maintain communication with clients and candidates regarding the status of open job orders.
  • Initiate and manage team/branch and client intake calls for open job orders.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Initiate contact with potentially qualified candidates for specific job openings.
  • Review team/branch submitted resumes for quality control, ensuring client requirements are met before submission.
  • Screen and refer candidates for additional cross-submittal opportunities within the client's organization.
  • Perform prep calls and pre-interviews to prepare candidates for client interviews.
  • Maintain records of resumes, applicant flow, and employee selection; update and retrieve candidate information in database systems.
  • Partner with Client Services and Operations Manager to ensure Nelson and client compliance standards are met before candidate start date, including registration, onboarding paperwork, reference, and background checks.
  • May be involved with candidate pay rate negotiations, conversion compensation structures, and conversion fee negotiations.
  • Inform candidates of job duties and responsibilities, compensation, work schedules, working conditions, policies, and assignment opportunities.
  • Evaluate employees' performance by conducting follow-up calls to foster client relationships.
  • Coach and counsel temporary employees to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations and client issues, partnering/escalating to Client Services, Human Resource, and Operations Manager as needed.
  • Keep up to date on overall activities of the contingent workforce assigned, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
  • Document reports of performance for recognition and/or disciplinary review based on client feedback.
  • Stay abreast of employer of record (EOR) and wage and hour compliance as it applies to the contingent workforce.
  • Monitor quality control of applicant files to ensure compliance with organization and government standards.
  • Partner with Client Services and Operations Manager around documentation for Unemployment and Workers Compensation claims.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
