Technical Recruiter, Early Careers

NotionSan Francisco, CA
$135,000 - $151,000Hybrid

About The Position

Notion is seeking an Early Career Recruiter to reimagine early career hiring. This role is for a builder who is energized by finding and cultivating emerging talent, crafting new programs and experiences, and obsessing over employer brand, candidate experience, and assessment design in an AI era. The individual will own Notion's early career strategy end-to-end, from community outreach to talent development and conversion of interns and new grads. They will collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, and People teams. This role can be based in San Francisco or New York City, with a hybrid work model requiring in-office presence on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of recruiter experience, with meaningful exposure to early career, university, or program-based hiring.
  • A builder mentality — energized by creating something new, not managing something established.
  • Genuine curiosity about how to find and evaluate emerging talent; always experimenting with new sourcing channels, assessment formats, and candidate engagement strategies.
  • Strong instincts for employer brand and candidate experience — thinking about how every touchpoint shapes perception and builds trust.
  • The ability to move between strategy and execution; can design a program and then run it.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills with candidates, hiring teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Comfort with data — using it to make decisions, spot patterns, and make the case for what's working.

Nice To Haves

  • Have built or contributed to an early career program from scratch.
  • Have experimented with non-traditional sourcing or evaluation approaches and can speak to what was learned.
  • Deeply familiar with the early career talent landscape in engineering and technical roles.
  • Uses Notion and loves it.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run recruiting programs (internships, new grad pipelines, 0-2 years from school pipelines) that are durable, scalable, and distinctly Notion.
  • Develop new models for talent discovery beyond traditional campus funnels, experimenting with communities, hackathons, open-source, AI-native sourcing tools, and creative outreach.
  • Build assessments that reveal how early career candidates think, learn, and create.
  • Partner with Comms, Design, and People to articulate Notion's employer brand and bring the story to life across channels, events, and touchpoints.
  • Coach and equip hiring managers and interviewers to assess early career talent with nuance, fairness, and high standards.
