Capio Group is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to work as part of the team on modernizing the reporting system and improving the collection, timeliness, accuracy, completeness, uniformity, integrity, and accessibility of system data to inform strategic decisions. This will position stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of the system’s data, allowing them to improve analysis and inform policy and decision-making to enhance safety for all users. The project will include a user-friendly interface that incorporates human factor design to streamline reporting through improved data collection, enhanced data quality control procedures, greater reporting efficiency, improved integration and communication with stakeholder data systems, and encouragement for agencies that submit paper reports to use the new application to submit reports electronically. Collectively, these improvements will transform reporting and improve the quality of the system data. The Technical Project Manager provides project management services, in partnership with the client Project Manager, from project planning through project closeout, to include the following tasks and responsibilities: Provides expertise in the completion of the PAL and associated deliverables. Provides expertise in the development of project management plans, including those listed in the Deliverables table, and in the California Project Management Framework (i.e., PAL templates not listed, Process Improvement Plan), as needed. Develops and implements technical project plans to meet the Project’s objectives. Coordinates and monitors completion of all technical project deliverables, tasks, and action items, in collaboration with the client Project Manager and functional supervisors/managers. Schedules, participates in, and facilitates recurring and ad hoc project meetings (e.g., weekly project status, Executive Steering Committee, IV&V, technical, stand-up) as needed (frequency will be determined during the drafting of Project Management Plans, i.e., weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly), ensuring meeting agendas and minutes are disseminated in a timely manner, action items are captured, and decisions are documented in accordance with approved project management plans. Monitors technical project performance (scope, schedule, issues, risks, and quality) and works with the client Project Manager and IV&V consultant(s) to implement mitigating and corrective actions as needed and approved by the client Project Manager. Prioritizes and manages the project-related work of the project team, to include other contracted consultants, to ensure project objectives are achieved, and requirements are met in a timely manner, in collaboration with the client Project Manager and functional managers. Develops, implements, and maintains quality assurance processes for review and feedback by the client’s functional managers, subject matter experts (SME), and contracted IV&V consultant(s), Conducts presentations or provides briefings on technical aspects of the Project. Participates in phase, milestone, and final project reviews. Develops, implements, and maintains the technical project schedule and/or sub-project schedules and project task and action item tracking tools, in coordination with the client Project Manager, and in accordance with approved project management plans. Schedules should be updated regularly, at a minimum of once per month. Mains the Risk Register, Issue Log, Change Request Log, and Decision Log, in accordance with approved project management plans, in coordination with the client Project Manager. Provides expertise and contributes to the development of the Organizational Change Management plan Participates in and contributes to presentations to the Executive Steering Committee including Alternatives Analysis Overview, project milestone checkpoints, and production environment Go/ No-go. Assists the client Project Manager in project closeout activities, including soliciting and documenting lessons learned in the Lessons Learned Log on a quarterly basis, and contributing to the development of the Post Implementation Evaluation Report. Utilizes client’s SharePoint site for the purposes of collaborating on, sharing, and storing all project documents and records. The Contractor and client Project Manager work collaboratively to determine the SharePoint site folder structure and naming conventions, and other project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft [MS] Office 365 and Project) used to support the project.
