Technical Project Manager
About The Position
The Technical Project Manager will coordinate and govern multiple concurrent business and technology initiatives across Marketing, Digital, Product, Analytics, Enterprise Technology Services, and external vendors. The role requires driving accountability and results across delivery teams without direct authority over them, while supporting portfolio governance, technology delivery, stakeholder coordination, and executive communication. During the six-month engagement, the contractor is expected to establish reusable portfolio management tools and operating practices. Deliverables span portfolio governance and operating models; planning and executive reporting; technology governance and delivery readiness; change management and adoption; and operational improvement, stabilization, and transition planning.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in project, program, portfolio, or technology management.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent business and technology initiatives.
- Strong experience with portfolio governance, PMO processes, RAID management, and decision tracking.
- Demonstrated experience developing integrated roadmaps and managing cross-functional dependencies.
- Experience with executive reporting, portfolio reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
- Working knowledge of technology delivery lifecycles, software development, integrations, data flows, testing, and release readiness.
- Experience coordinating business, technology, product, analytics, and vendor teams.
- Strong understanding of operating models, RACI matrices, ownership structures, and escalation processes.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive accountability and deliver results without direct authority over technical teams.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Marketing Technology (MarTech) and Marketing Operations.
- Exposure to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Assets), Adobe DAM, or EDAM platforms.
- Experience with metadata governance, taxonomy, and digital asset lifecycle management.
- Experience with customer engagement, content management, digital marketing, and analytics platforms.
- Experience with organizational change management, user adoption, training, and readiness planning.
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project/program management certifications.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate multiple concurrent business and technology initiatives.
- Establish portfolio governance processes, review cadence, decision tracking, and escalation practices.
- Develop integrated roadmaps and manage cross-functional dependencies.
- Prepare executive reporting, portfolio reviews, dashboards, and stakeholder presentations.
- Coordinate business, technology, product, analytics, and vendor teams.
- Drive accountability and delivery outcomes without direct authority over technical teams.
- Establish portfolio stakeholder and platform ownership maps, RACI matrices, and decision rights frameworks.
- Maintain prioritized initiative inventories, consolidated RAID and decision registers, and demand, capacity, and dependency assessments.
- Track technology and data governance approvals, delivery readiness, vendor commitments, milestones, and success measures.
- Develop portfolio communications, training, enablement, adoption, and readiness plans, including change impact assessments.
- Identify operational improvements and develop stabilization, remediation, technology lifecycle, and transition recommendations.
- Document support ownership and the engagement-end transition plan.
