Technical Project Manager
About The Position
Trident Consulting is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a client described as a global leader in business and technology services. This contract role is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a hybrid work arrangement. The project manager will lead large-scale network migration and infrastructure transformation initiatives, bringing both strong networking knowledge and proven project management experience. The role does not involve hands-on network configuration, but requires the ability to understand network architecture, review technical deliverables, validate migration readiness, and coordinate effectively with engineering teams, customers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. This is specifically a technical project management role requiring strong network knowledge rather than a traditional project management position. The role includes end-to-end project delivery and governance: developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, milestones, and status reports; managing risks, dependencies, issues, and escalations; coordinating customer, engineering, operations, and leadership teams; and conducting governance meetings and executive-level reporting. The listed pay rate is $62; no pay period or currency is specified.
Requirements
- At least 6 to 8 years of project management experience.
- Five years of network administrator experience.
- Strong networking background and understanding of network technologies and architecture.
- Experience with governance and reporting.
- Ability to review technical deliverables and validate migration readiness; hands-on network configuration is not expected.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of network migration and transformation projects.
