About The Position

Schaeffler is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead system engineering projects with structure, quality, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is located in Deer Park, Illinois, or Auburn Hills, Michigan. The manager coordinates system releases and deliveries from planning through execution and final handover, and leads technical activities within the system development team. The position requires domestic travel of up to 10% and legal authorization to work in the United States.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems, mechanical, electrical, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in an engineering environment.
Experience in technical project planning, coordination, and stakeholder management.
Strong understanding of technical project execution and cross-functional collaboration.
Good command of English.
Structured, proactive, and team-oriented working style with strong communication skills.
Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Develop project plans and timelines to ensure system engineering projects are delivered on time.
Work with stakeholders to define requirements, clarify objectives, and align project goals.
Coordinate system releases and deliveries from planning through execution to final handover.
Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards in project deliverables.
Lead and coordinate technical activities within the system development team, including effort estimation, planning, task assignment, and internal and external alignment across engineering disciplines.
Keep resource demand up to date on a regular basis.
Collaborate with discipline project management engineers to ensure smooth coordination.
