About The Position

LifeScience Logistics is seeking a Technical Project Manager to define complex project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule, and execute tasks to achieve project goals using standard project management methodologies. This role involves validating business cases, developing project charters, driving decisions with teams and customers, and building partnerships to gather requirements and communicate effectively. The Technical Project Manager will lead testing and acceptance of project results, assemble and motivate project teams, and facilitate project meetings and presentations to leadership. Establishing cross-functional alliances, proactively communicating with stakeholders, and assessing project needs are key responsibilities. The role also requires engaging in change leadership to ensure project acceptance and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Finance, or Business, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • PMP certification or equivalent work experience as a Project Manager.
  • 3+ years work experience in Project Management.
  • Knowledge of issues/risk management and project change requests.
  • High ethics and integrity.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct appropriate research as needed.
  • Professional presentation and demeanor.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to accept additional responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail and organization.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Ability to maintain and track budget/spending trends.
  • Familiarity with warehousing and distribution software.
  • Ability to work independently on assignments by researching issues, analyzing data, providing appropriate updates to supervisors, and proposing solutions to problems encountered.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to successfully pass all preliminary employment requirements (i.e., background check and drug screen).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Defines complex project plans including scope, budget, and schedule, and executes tasks defined in the project plan to achieve project goals using standard project management methodologies and practices.
  • Validates, and may help develop, business cases with Customers, as well as develops a project charter.
  • Drives Teams and Customers toward decisions.
  • Builds partnerships to collaborate and uses influence without authority to gather Customer and business requirements and communicate effectively with all project Teams and Support groups.
  • Drives testing and acceptance of project results.
  • Partners with resource managers, Business Partners, and vendors to assemble a project Team and provide ongoing motivation to drive projects to completion.
  • Leads and facilitates project meetings and presentations to Leadership.
  • Establishes cross functional alliances within and outside of the Technology Department to drive results.
  • Proactively communicates with Stakeholders, Sponsors and Project Teams to maintain project alignment.
  • Continually assesses project needs and resources to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Engages and initiates change leadership to ensure project acceptance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
