Technical Project Manager

Community Infusion Solutions•Dallas, TX
•$60,000 - $75,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Community Infusion Solutions is seeking a hands-on Technical Project Manager with healthcare operations experience to take ownership of projects and drive them through completion. This is an individual contributor role, not a director, department manager, or high-level strategy position. The person in this role will build implementation plans, configure systems, document workflows, test solutions, train employees, resolve problems, and follow up until deliverables are complete. The role requires bringing structure to projects without a large team or extensive administrative support. The Technical Project Manager will work directly with the Chief Operating Officer, CIS employees, hospital clients, outside vendors, and a data analyst to turn healthcare operational needs into working solutions. The position is based in Dallas, Texas, with a hybrid work arrangement and no required travel. It reports to the Chief Operating Officer and has no direct reports. Compensation is $60,000–$75,000 annually.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in healthcare operations, healthcare implementation, healthcare systems, revenue cycle, process improvement, or a related healthcare field.
  • Experience working within or supporting a hospital, health system, physician practice, ambulatory setting, or other healthcare provider organization.
  • Demonstrated history of personally executing projects, not only supervising or coordinating other people’s work.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly.
  • Experience creating workflows, procedures, project plans, training materials, and operational documentation.
  • Ability to test systems methodically, identify problems, and work through resolution.
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining ownership of deadlines and deliverables.
  • Willingness to work directly in systems, spreadsheets, documents, and project-management tools.
  • Ability to operate independently in a small-company environment with limited administrative support.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in infusion services, hospital operations, revenue cycle, patient access, or another healthcare provider environment.
  • Experience supporting healthcare client implementations or technology deployments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, project-management software, workflow-mapping tools, reporting platforms, and cloud-based business systems.
  • Experience working directly with software vendors and technical support teams.
  • Experience creating standard operating procedures and employee training resources.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain implementation plans, timelines, task lists, and readiness checklists.
  • Personally complete assigned implementation tasks and follow up on dependent items.
  • Gather requirements and information from clients, employees, vendors, and leadership.
  • Organize project files, decisions, action items, system requirements, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare systems, workflows, forms, reports, and operational materials for go-live.
  • Conduct readiness reviews, identify incomplete or at-risk deliverables, and support go-live through operational stabilization.
  • Translate healthcare operational problems into practical system or workflow solutions.
  • Configure applications, user settings, forms, templates, reports, and other system components within available platforms.
  • Research system capabilities and work with vendors and the data analyst to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements, reporting, and solutions.
  • Test systems, features, integrations, reports, and workflows; document defects and verify corrections.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate unnecessary steps, reduce manual work, and improve reliability.
  • Observe and evaluate employee work, then create process maps, standard operating procedures, checklists, job aids, and training materials.
  • Standardize workflows, update documentation when systems or procedures change, and maintain an accessible library of current operational materials.
  • Create test scenarios, conduct system and workflow testing, coordinate user testing, and document results and required changes.
  • Develop and deliver employee training based on actual CIS workflows, provide hands-on implementation support, and monitor adoption.
  • Follow issues through resolution and address gaps in user understanding or execution.
  • Break projects into actions, owners, deadlines, and measurable deliverables; maintain project trackers and provide concise status updates.
  • Identify stalled work, missing information, and unresolved decisions; communicate with task owners and promptly escalate material risks or barriers to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Verify completed work against agreed requirements and close projects only when deliverables are complete, documented, tested, and operational.
