About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager – Data Analytics & Engineering to lead a large-scale retail analytics engagement supporting enterprise retail operations. This role is responsible for managing the delivery of strategic data initiatives, coordinating cross-functional technical teams, and ensuring the successful execution of analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, and platform support projects. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with exceptional project leadership skills and has experience managing enterprise data platforms, collaborating with business stakeholders, and delivering complex analytics solutions in retail or e-commerce environments.

Requirements

12+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or related technical disciplines.
8+ years of experience managing technical projects, programs, or cross-functional engineering teams.
5+ years of experience in retail, e-commerce, or omnichannel environments.
Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platform implementations or modernization initiatives.
Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating managed service delivery models.
Strong expertise with: Snowflake dbt Apache Airflow SQL Python
Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools, including: Tableau ThoughtSpot Plotly
Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-based data platforms.
Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and data observability.
Familiarity with geospatial data engineering and analytics.
Experience with CI/CD practices and Git-based workflows.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex technical environments.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field required.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of enterprise retail analytics initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Manage cross-functional teams across data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence, and infrastructure.
Coordinate the development of scalable data pipelines, analytics solutions, and BI dashboards.
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
Oversee project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and delivery execution.
Drive collaboration across internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.
Monitor project performance, establish delivery metrics, and support service level agreements (SLAs) for data quality, platform reliability, and dashboard availability.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, optimize delivery models, and enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.
Support the adoption of modern analytics tools, technologies, and best practices.
