About The Position

Oracle Hardware Division is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer and Technical Program Manager to lead GPU and CPU server platform development and implementation in collaboration with external manufacturers and NVIDIA and AMD engineering teams. The position combines hardware systems engineering expertise with technical program management, supporting complex server hardware products from development through validation and production delivery. The role owns assigned GPU system development plans, evaluates hardware and software integration across GPU and CPU platforms—including firmware, drivers, and BMC—and coordinates testing, validation, qualification, and production readiness. It leads program requirements, schedules, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, quality, risks, changes, and budget considerations while coordinating Oracle engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners. The role requires cross-functional leadership through technical credibility, collaboration, and influence rather than direct reporting authority. It communicates program status, technical trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders, and may prepare executive briefings for senior leadership and SVP reviews. It also identifies process improvements, mentors junior colleagues, and provides task oversight. The position is located in Santa Clara, California.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, with relevant education and experience.
  • Typically 12+ years of relevant experience in hardware engineering, systems engineering, technical program management, or related disciplines, assessed with applicable education.
  • Advanced knowledge of hardware engineering duties, systems, and procedures, with broad knowledge of GPU or CPU system engineering.
  • Practical experience taking hardware systems through development, integration, validation, and production readiness.
  • Experience integrating hardware and software, applying vendor validation tools, interpreting engineering logs, and working with external manufacturers.
  • Experience coordinating technical programs, engineering schedules, cross-functional dependencies, and product development milestones.
  • Strong understanding of GPU and CPU system integration, including firmware, drivers, and BMC functionality.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical issues, identify risks, and drive engineering and program decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, evidence-based problem-solving abilities, and effective collaboration without direct authority.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and delivery conditions through disciplined review, escalation, and follow-through.
  • A minimum of 8 years combined experience with project management, data analysis, and direct business experience within a specialized function.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with functional and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance quantitative and qualitative metrics to provide a holistic viewpoint.
  • Expert-level experience with Excel, creating dynamic pivot reports and data visualization.
  • Ability to influence through data visualization and interpretation.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and comfort working in ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Evaluate hardware and software integration across GPU and CPU platforms, including firmware, drivers, and baseboard management controllers (BMC).
  • Identify technical dependencies, integration challenges, and potential risks.
  • Investigate technical issues with NVIDIA, AMD, external manufacturers, and Oracle engineering teams using vendor validation tools, engineering logs, and test results.
  • Coordinate internal and external testing to verify hardware products meet agreed requirements before customer release.
  • Review validation results, document readiness evidence, and drive resolution of quality and delivery issues.
  • Lead hardware development programs, coordinating requirements, schedules, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables across engineering teams and external partners.
  • Translate internal customer needs into engineering requirements and actionable program plans.
  • Align supplier priorities, engineering schedules, and development activities with product delivery objectives.
  • Coordinate hardware development through engineering validation, design validation, production validation, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Track program execution against schedules, technical milestones, quality requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Anticipate and mitigate technical and program risks, manage changes through established review processes, and escalate issues beyond delegated authority.
  • Evaluate technical trade-offs and alternative approaches, considering quality, schedule, and cost implications.
  • Coordinate engineering activities with Oracle hardware, software, and cloud engineering teams, GPU and CPU suppliers, and joint design manufacturers.
  • Build relationships across lines of business, external partners, and leadership.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs, program risks, progress, milestones, and next steps to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations to support management decisions affecting assigned products and programs.
  • Prepare technical reports, program updates, and executive briefings, including senior leadership and SVP reviews when required.
  • Drive alignment and issue resolution across engineering teams and external partners without direct reporting authority.
  • Lead cross-functional engineering and program activities through technical credibility, collaboration, and influence.
  • Apply independent judgment to resolve moderately complex hardware systems and program challenges involving multiple variables and potential outcomes.
  • Identify and implement improvements in hardware validation, system integration, and technical program execution.
  • Seek diverse viewpoints, mentor junior colleagues, and provide task oversight to improve team capability and execution.
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and temporary staff as required.
  • Contribute to functional and business goals within and, when needed, beyond the immediate team.

Benefits
