About The Position

The Staff, Technical Program Manager leads complex, multi-faceted technology programs by defining goals, managing dependencies, and aligning deliverables with strategic objectives. The Senior Technology Operations team leads the delivery of complex projects by applying strong program management and data analysis expertise. This team monitors progress, manages risks, and ensures alignment with strategic goals through effective stakeholder communication and coordination. Members define objectives, allocate resources, and enhance operational processes to support business priorities. Emphasizing continuous improvement, the team leverages technology insights and best practices to optimize outcomes. Collaboration and accountability are central, enabling the team to deliver value while upholding high standards of integrity and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in program management techniques, tools, and frameworks to lead medium to high-complexity initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to align priorities, resolve conflicts, and secure commitments across cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of technology solutions, including software design, cloud infrastructure, and system architecture principles.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodology and process improvement to drive efficiency and continuous delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly and foster collaboration.
  • Analytical problem-solving ability to synthesize data and develop actionable insights for program success.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
  • 7 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Project Management.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related area and 3 years’ experience in product design.
  • Experience in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and joining in creating accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Define program goals, deliverables, schedules, and critical paths to align with strategic objectives and shifting priorities.
  • Manage dependencies and secure commitments across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless program execution.
  • Translate product requirements into technical designs and collaborate on system architecture for scalable, high-availability solutions.
  • Monitor program progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation plans to maintain quality and timelines.
  • Establish and improve processes for launch, post-launch, and operational excellence including monitoring and alerting frameworks.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and updates clearly to stakeholders using tailored communication styles.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying synergies, reducing waste, and proposing automation tools and methodologies.
