The Marketplace Tech team at Walmart develops scalable, innovative solutions supporting a vast retail ecosystem. This multidisciplinary group of engineers, architects, and product leaders collaborates to build robust platforms for fulfillment, logistics, and seller experience. Their work includes global supply chain integration, marketplace growth, and customer-focused delivery and returns solutions. Utilizing advanced technology, data insights, and domain expertise, the team ensures Walmart Marketplace remains agile, reliable, and ready to expand across new business models and markets, driving operational excellence and sustained growth.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in program and project management techniques, tools, and frameworks for large-scale, complex initiatives.
  • Strong ability to define goals, critical delivery paths, and manage cross-functional dependencies with resource constraints.
  • Technical knowledge in system design, architecture, cloud infrastructure, and software/hardware lifecycles.
  • Experience driving process improvements, automation, and scalable workflows to increase engineering velocity.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, communication, and conflict resolution to align priorities and secure buy-in.
  • Analytical problem-solving capabilities using data-driven decision-making and impact analysis.
  • Ability to mentor team members and lead cross-domain collaboration for successful program delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
  • 9 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Project Management.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related area and 5 years’ experience in product design.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end technical solution design, ensuring alignment with business objectives and system scalability.
  • Identify and resolve ambiguities, overlaps, and inefficiencies to optimize program execution.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and automation to enhance team velocity and quality outcomes.
  • Monitor risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues to maintain program momentum.
  • Engage stakeholders to align priorities, communicate progress, and foster consensus.
  • Mentor team members on best practices in program management, technical design, and communication.
