About The Position

The purpose of the role is to manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank. This involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations throughout the software product lifecycle, adhering to agreed time, budget, and quality requirements. The role also involves advising and influencing decision-making, contributing to policy development, and taking responsibility for operational effectiveness. For individuals with leadership responsibilities, they are expected to lead a team, set objectives, coach employees, and appraise performance. For individual contributors, they will lead collaborative assignments, guide team members, identify the need for other specializations, and identify new directions for assignments or projects. They will also consult on complex issues, identify ways to mitigate risk, develop new policies/procedures, and take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls. This role requires understanding how different areas coordinate and contribute to organizational objectives, collaborating with business-aligned support areas, engaging in complex data analysis, communicating complex information, and influencing stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Requirements

  • Experience in managing the delivery, resource allocation and improvement of complex technical project capabilities.
  • Experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives and the execution of sprints.
  • Experience collaborating with customers and business teams to manage and implement customer trials.
  • Experience collaborating with software engineers, quality teams, product managers and other engineering teams.
  • Experience in identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with technical projects.
  • Experience managing change requests and communication with stakeholders.
  • Experience managing vendor relations involved in technical projects.
  • Experience staying abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies.
  • Experience in ensuring high quality transformational change by working on projects focused on enhancing Partnership co-branding credit card application capabilities and successfully deploy them in production on time and within budget.
  • Experience gathering business, system, and functional requirements by conducting detailed interviews with business users, stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Experience coordinating overall project documentation across all bank functions including requirements, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, weekly status reports, etc. using project management tools such as MS Project, and MS Visio.
  • Experience creating and updating project plans and tracking upcoming deliverables and ensuring completion of project milestones and tasks.
  • Experience updating budget tracking sheets and monitoring forecast vs. actuals.
  • Experience ensuring projects are completed according to time and budget schedules, and that objectives conform to line of business' overall standards, operations objectives, user requirements and client’s needs.
  • Experience providing status and updates on programs as requested with executive management, partners and internal project teams.
  • Experience ensuring Key Measures of Success and Benefits are quantifiable and measurable post implementation.
  • Experience identifying and implementing continuous improvement and best practices in the project life cycle especially Agile ways of working within and across industry segments.
  • Experience managing capacity allocation to make sure right capacity is allocated for prioritized initiatives that meet company objectives for the year.
  • Proficiency in tools and technologies such as: Kafka, ActiveMQ, IBM, MQ, AWS, MS Project, Excel, Visio, Access, Power Point, among others.
