About The Position

The Technical Program Manager is responsible for transforming strategic plans into project plans and ensuring effective cross-team collaboration. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage risks, integrate teams, and handle stakeholder expectations while promoting agile practices and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management and delivery, preferably in a technical capacity.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and practices.
  • Strong understanding of stage-gate and/or waterfall project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk mitigation skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications in project management and agile methodologies are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with strategic plan creation and translate strategic plans into actionable waterfall project plans.
  • Propagate project plans into agile teams.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships across various teams to ensure collaborative and cohesive project execution.
  • Lead staffing resource planning using the project plans, ensuring that the department has the necessary resources and talent to meet project demands.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Facilitate integration across different teams to streamline processes and enhance project outcomes.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure their requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist team leads with managing and prioritizing tasks and projects to align with business objectives and maximize efficiency.
  • Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Advocate for and implement agile methodologies to improve project delivery and team performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and refining processes.
