About The Position
Applied Materials is hiring a Technical Program Manager as a new college graduate with a master's degree for its Santa Clara, California location. The role develops project plans and oversees projects from conception and planning through implementation, including strategies, processes, and resources. It identifies and resolves potential project complications, defines objectives for areas of responsibility, and ensures preliminary activities are completed. The position has formal supervisory responsibilities, including setting priorities, coaching employees, conducting appraisals, providing feedback, and allocating work. The role uses judgment to address day-to-day technical and operational problems, contributes to the quality and effectiveness of its team, and may interact with external customers, vendors, or suppliers. The position requires understanding and compliance with Applied Materials' global Standards of Business Conduct and its core values. Travel is 10% of the time, and relocation is eligible.
Requirements
- New college graduate with a master's degree.

Responsibilities
- Develop project plans and oversee projects from conception and planning through implementation, including strategies, processes, and resources.
- Identify and resolve potential project complications and develop solutions.
- Conduct employee appraisals, provide feedback, and manage team work allocations.
- Supervise employees, set priorities, and coach employees to meet daily deadlines.
- Define project and program objectives for areas of responsibility and ensure necessary preliminary activities are completed.
- Use judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
- Comply with Applied Materials' global Standards of Business Conduct.
