About The Position

Stripe is seeking a product-focused Technical Program Manager to drive its Extensibility program across the Workflows, Custom Objects, and Scripts workstreams. This newly created role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, product management, and cross-organizational program ownership. The role owns the direction, health, and outcomes of Stripe's Extensibility platform, setting program strategy with DEeP leadership and holding organizations accountable for program success.

The Extensibility program makes Stripe programmable so customers and product teams can adapt Stripe to their needs on a common platform. Its interconnected primitives are Scripts, a secure and isolated TypeScript runtime for customizing product behavior; Custom Objects, user-defined data models with APIs, SDKs, and Dashboard experiences; and Workflows, a programmable orchestration layer for no-code and pro-code business logic. The program spans more than 10 cross-functional teams and supports a flagship product launch.

The Technical Program Manager will drive cross-organizational decisions, manage the critical path to major launches, influence product and engineering roadmaps, and ensure ProServ and Partnerships requirements are represented in the roadmap. They will address ambiguous integration and ownership questions, shape scope and trade-offs, and align platform delivery with the needs of teams serving complex customers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of technical program management experience, with demonstrated success driving complex cross-organizational programs.
• Strong product sense and ability to understand enterprise customer needs.
• Ability to communicate precisely and credibly with engineering, product, and executive audiences; translate complex technical trade-offs into strategic decisions; and drive alignment.
• Ability to lead and align cross-functional teams, drive decisions, resolve conflict, and build consensus across organizations with competing priorities.
• Proven track record of successful program delivery in complex technical environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the direction, health, and outcomes of Stripe's Extensibility platform across Scripts, Custom Objects, and Workflows.
• Set program strategy in partnership with DEeP leadership and hold organizations accountable for the program's success.
• Drive cross-organizational decisions among DRIs in Script Platform, Custom Objects, Apps, SDK, Observability, DevEx, and Versioning, resolving ambiguous integration and ownership questions.
• Own the critical path to major launches by shaping scope, driving descope decisions, and negotiating trade-offs across teams.
• Influence product and engineering roadmaps by bringing a program-level perspective to team planning, addressing misalignment with Extensibility strategy, and advocating for cross-cutting investments.
• Ensure ProServ and Partnerships requirements are surfaced in the roadmap with the same rigor as product requirements.
• Bridge platform delivery with the needs of ProServ and Partnerships teams serving complex customers.
