We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the development and testing of UAS software and hardware systems tailored for government use. The Technical Project Manager will lead cross-functional engineering teams in developing CONOPS (Concept of Operations), vehicle designs, avionics systems, and mission planning software, ensuring that all projects are executed successfully from start to finish.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in engineering, management, manufacturing or other relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software project management, preferably within the defense industry or related technology fields.
  • Understanding of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and related technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage cross- functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Defense Industry Experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee requirements, schedules, budgets, requirements, hardware, and software deliverables across the full lifecycle of UAS development projects, from initial concept through testing and production.
  • Coordinate and guide cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and software developers, to ensure timely and effective project execution.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop detailed CONOPS, vehicle designs, avionics systems, and mission planning software.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals.
  • Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Ensure all projects meet the highest standards of quality and comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, risks, and milestones.
