About The Position

This position is located in our Lebanon, NH office. The Technical Program Manager / Senior Technical Program Manager leads complex, cross-functional technical product development programs from concept and business planning through development, verification, qualification, industrialization, and product release. The role serves as the program integration point across Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and other stakeholders to achieve technical, schedule, cost, quality, customer, and business objectives. The individual must be able to understand complex engineering information, challenge assumptions, connect technical dependencies to program outcomes, establish an integrated program plan, drive execution, manage risk, and enable timely decisions. Final level will be determined by relevant experience, demonstrated technical program complexity, leadership scope, and organizational impact. Role Expectation: Own the success of the program by creating clarity, driving accountability, surfacing risk early, and enabling timely cross-functional decisions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex engineering systems, development dependencies, technical risks, verification/qualification activities, and manufacturing-readiness considerations sufficiently to lead effective program decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Business, Program Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary product development programs in a technically complex environment.
  • Strong integrated planning, risk and dependency management, problem-solving, facilitation, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and interdependent workstreams while maintaining attention to detail and overall program objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across functions without direct authority and resolve execution barriers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including concise leadership-level and executive-level reporting.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience. Some barriers to entry exist at this level, requiring department review.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in semiconductor, MEMS, precision manufacturing, hardware, or another technically complex product-development environment.
  • Experience with structured product development, NPI, or phase-gate processes and transition from development into manufacturing.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program-management training/certification.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar planning and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated program plan, including scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, resource needs, schedules, budget inputs, success criteria, and program commitments.
  • Lead cross-functional execution from concept through product release, maintaining alignment on priorities, decisions, actions, ownership, and next steps.
  • Drive phase-gate planning and readiness by ensuring that required deliverables, evidence, decisions, and exit criteria are understood, owned, and completed.
  • Identify technical, schedule, supply, manufacturing, quality, resource, customer, and business risks early; establish mitigation and contingency actions and escalate when appropriate.
  • Facilitate timely cross-functional decision-making and document key decisions, assumptions, actions, changes, and impacts to program direction.
  • Coordinate prototype, engineering, qualification, pilot, and special builds in partnership with Engineering and Operations.
  • Manage program changes and tradeoffs across scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality, and technical requirements while maintaining alignment with development processes.
  • Maintain concise, decision-oriented dashboards and reporting covering milestones, critical path, risks, issues, actions, dependencies, decisions required, and overall program health.
  • Drive transition from development into manufacturing and product release, including cross-functional readiness and closure of critical deliverables.
  • Capture lessons learned and lead improvements to program-management and product-development practices.
  • Build productive working relationships across technical and business functions and across multiple sites.
  • Influence priorities, commitments, and decisions without relying on direct authority.
  • Communicate complex technical and program issues clearly to engineers, scientists, operations teams, vendors, customers, and leadership.
  • Partner with functional leaders to resolve resource conflicts, competing priorities, and execution barriers.
  • Promote transparency, early risk identification, ownership, and fact-based decision-making across program teams.
  • At the Senior Technical Program Manager level, coach less-experienced project/program managers and contribute to broader PMO capability development.
