Technical Program Manager, Security

FluidstackAustin, TX
$210,000 - $262,000

About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking a Technical Program Manager, Security to join their team. This role is crucial for securing the frontier of AI by building and managing the entire security program from scratch. The security team is responsible for protecting the most valuable and targeted artifacts in technology – the model weights training on their infrastructure. The threat surface is measured in gigawatts, and the role involves ensuring the physical and logical security of critical AI development work. Fluidstack operates with principles of extreme ownership, full autonomy, velocity, first principles thinking, and a passion for the problem space. The company is focused on delivering massive amounts of compute infrastructure for AI faster than anyone else, requiring a robust and comprehensive security program.

Requirements

  • Experience running technical program management for a security or infrastructure org, holding engineers and external partners to deadlines.
  • Experience driving a security or compliance initiative (SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, or a customer security review) from kickoff to evidence without losing the thread across teams.
  • Ability to translate between security engineers and executives, distilling a sprawling risk picture into a decision and a next step.
  • Experience coordinating incident response or audit timelines where a slipped date had real consequences.
  • Habit of tracking commitments, risks, and open items.

Nice To Haves

  • Physical security or datacenter security programs.
  • Model-weight or high-value-asset protection.
  • Security tooling rollouts.
  • A security certification (CISSP, CISM).

Responsibilities

  • Run the security program's execution across physical, logical, and datacenter security, turning a fast-growing set of initiatives into tracked workstreams with owners, deadlines, and no dropped threads.
  • Drive cross-team security deliverables (bare-metal hardening, access control, incident response readiness, compliance evidence) to closure across engineering, datacenter operations, and IT.
  • Stand up the operating rhythm of the security org: reviews, risk tracking, audit and certification timelines, and the reporting that keeps leadership and customers current.
  • Quarterback security requirements into new site builds and customer onboarding so controls land before compute does, not after.
  • Own the metrics and status that show where the program is exposed, what is on track, and what needs an escalation this week.

Benefits

  • Commitment to pay equity and transparency.
  • Equal Employment Opportunity Employer status.
