About The Position

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Technical Program Manager III to coordinate and manage the technical project and program development of large-scale, distributed software applications, systems, platforms, services, or technologies. This role involves overseeing the complete software development lifecycle, from design through release, using Object Oriented coding and design principles. The Technical Program Manager will define projects, gather business requirements, and create functional and technical specifications. Key responsibilities include driving software development efforts, managing priorities for project/program completion, and performing software application performance tuning. The role also requires creating schedules, identifying and communicating risks to stakeholders, defining risk mitigation strategies, and facilitating appropriate software engineering solutions. Additionally, the Technical Program Manager will manage cross-functional teams and/or third-party vendors for the implementation of project/program requirements.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or as a Project Lead, Product Manager, Software Engineer, or a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • One year of experience managing technical projects from design to release for large-scale software applications.
  • One year of experience in software application performance tuning.
  • One year of hands-on Object Oriented coding and design using C++, C# or Java.

Responsibilities
