About The Position

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners. The role calls for explaining analyses and recommendations to executives and discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers. The position is part of Google’s Technical Infrastructure team, which develops and maintains data centers and Google platforms, and keeps the company’s networks running to support reliable, fast user experiences. This role focuses on enterprise infrastructure and cloud networking programs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
At least 2 years of experience in program management.
Experience delivering network technologies in enterprise offices, data centers, or ISP/Telco programs.
Experience working with network infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

Certifications in PMP, Agile project management, CCNA, CCNP, or other network technologies or similar.
At least 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Experience delivering network infrastructure upgrades involving life-cycle management of networking equipment and deployment of new enterprise networking solutions.

Responsibilities

Manage and drive network engineering and life-cycle management (LCM) deployment programs and projects, using automation and software programs and coordinating with global delivery teams to provide efficient network services to customers.
Manage third-party vendors responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting network services, including facilitating escalations requiring engineering assistance.
Work with management to design and launch processes, implement process improvements, and ensure efficient and reliable achievement of process objectives.
Develop reports tracking scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall project status; coordinate with stakeholders to manage, track, and control project issues and ensure timely delivery.
Partner with Network Engineers, Software Engineers, and Project Managers to deliver technical networking projects.
