Technical Program Manager, Enterprise Readiness

AnthropicSan Francisco, CA
$365,000 - $435,000Hybrid

About The Position

Anthropic's enterprise business is growing rapidly, with enterprises increasingly adopting Claude across various product surfaces. To support this growth, foundational elements such as security and compliance controls, identity and access management, data governance, admin controls, and cost management are crucial. This is particularly important for customers in regulated industries like financial services, healthcare, and the public sector, where stringent security, privacy, and resilience requirements are paramount. This role is a senior position responsible for planning and executing the delivery of these enterprise foundations across all product surfaces. The Technical Program Manager will be a key point of contact for product, engineering, and go-to-market (GTM) leaders, providing insights into the current state of enterprise readiness, identifying gaps, and developing plans to address them.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of technical program management experience, with a track record of building cross-functional programs from scratch in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience driving decisions among senior leaders with competing priorities and clearly articulating enterprise readiness status.
  • Experience driving adoption of platform or horizontal capabilities across product teams without direct reporting lines.
  • Understanding of enterprise requirements for scaled adoption, especially in regulated industries, including security and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP), identity and access (SSO, SCIM, RBAC), data governance (retention, residency, customer-managed keys), audit logging, and spend controls.
  • Experience working directly with regulated customers on security reviews, questionnaires, audit findings, and contract redlines, understanding the interplay of control design, evidence collection, and engineering delivery.
  • Ability to thrive and shape operating models in evolving environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Owned a HIPAA program end to end at a software company, including BAAs, PHI handling, and supporting product controls.
  • Experience with financial services customers on data retention, data residency, and encryption requirements (including retention and deletion commitments, regional hosting, customer-managed keys, and contractual evidence and attestations).
  • Experience running a design partnership or co-build with a large enterprise customer.
  • Experience using Claude or other LLM tooling to automate program tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Run the planning and operating cadence for the foundational-capability roadmap across surfaces, ensuring clear DRIs, sequenced dependencies, and a single source of truth on coverage and status for product, engineering, and GTM leadership.
  • Drive the highest-priority foundational capability programs end to end, from scoping and tradeoff decisions through delivery on every surface.
  • Shape the readiness bar for new products and features, defining what a surface must have in place before reaching enterprise customers and making decisions on in-flight features missing controls.
  • Work across teams and directly with customers, partnering with sales, customer success, solutions, and support on active deals and escalations, participating in customer security and compliance reviews, and relaying enterprise blockers back to product and engineering.
  • Translate customer and regulatory requirements into technical programs, collaborating with legal, compliance, and GTM to prioritize high-impact enterprise asks and map them to roadmaps with dates.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Optional equity donation matching
  • Generous vacation
  • Parental leave
  • Flexible working hours
  • Visa sponsorship
