About The Position

The Engineering Quality TPM will have direct and highly impactful influence on Engineering Quality. You will solve real world problems, in a fast paced environment and provide solutions to internal and external groups. You will be involved in, and directly contribute to, highly impactful PG programs and projects. You will impact areas of direct concern to the customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, 3+ years of continuous improvement or technical program management.
  • Experience guiding cross-functional teams and demonstrating influence skills to deliver results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to audiences at all levels in the Company.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills.
  • Strong project organizational skills and know how to drive deliverables to completion.
  • Strong analytical skills to drive clear decisions within a complex organizational environment.
  • Familiarity and experience with the Sabre 3D product and POA, and understanding of tool configurations and options, and their inter-dependencies.
  • Creative thinking skills are very important.
  • Familiarity with SAP, TC-PLM, and CQ.
  • Attention to detail and a drive for accuracy is a must.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple, competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Flexibility to operate in several different areas of ownership, and being a self-driver, are a big plus.
  • Knowledge of the Product history, or being able to determine it accurately, will be vital, as well as configuration dependencies.
  • Knowledge of Change Management methodologies is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of Program Management methods and experience in Product Development & Release (PDR) procedures.
  • Familiarity with engineering modelling software such as Creo is a plus.
  • This is not a design intensive position but technical acumen is important.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with SET, MFG, and GPS partners as engineering representation.
  • Key player in Quality CFT, requiring tight collaboration for assessment of customer impact and intake of quality issues to the PG.
  • SPOC accountable for engineering owned NCE/NCI and dispositioning 8D’s.
  • Priority assessment and designation.
  • Drive Engineering solutions.
  • Manage the priority and assign the work to the appropriate quality design engineer.
  • Identify high value “Low” NCe/NCi, drive to project closure. Give visibility and weight to impactful quality issues that would normally struggle to rise above the waterline.
  • Research data, provide input affecting major PG program and product decisions.
  • Own program plans, milestones, schedules, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Operate in a global, high-interaction environment with frequent reviews, milestone tracking, and executive escalations.
  • Lead cross-functional programs with strong governance, escalation, and stakeholder management discipline.
  • Create and drive a close loop quality process, assess long range effectiveness of solutions.
  • Devise and launch a program to track, and own, program health. This includes course correction/adjustment.
  • Closely collaborate with several internal and external groups: Product Management, PG Engineering Management, PG Engineers, Supply Chain, SET, LIGHT India Engineering Team, Key Account Technologists and customer teams, Operations, Field Engineers.
