About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring customers have continuous access to the innovation they rely on. This role is within the Data Center Engineering team, specifically the Mechanical Products & Services (MPS) team, which is driving innovation in Mechanical Cooling and Controls systems for AWS data centers. The MPS team's designs are critical to the success of the AWS business and its millions of customers, providing operational and financial benefits. This position offers the opportunity to lead the Technical Program Management aspect for these advanced cloud infrastructure solutions and the exceptional people who develop them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • 4+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

Responsibilities

  • Influence, manage, and help execute the MPS Program/Product roadmaps
  • Create mechanisms to track global project and program executions (scope/schedule/budgets)
  • Partner with customers to define business requirements, functional requirements, and define success criteria
  • Drive continuous improvements in system operations and through tool building/automation
  • Communicate progress on key programs and drive toward business goals
  • Coordinate and organize cross-functional engineering teams inclusive of Mechanical Cooling and Controls, hardware, software systems, and other engineering disciplines
  • Develop program and team mechanisms and tools as required
  • Provide program management support and leadership in the application of new technologies and/or retro-fit type work to enable large scale mechanical products/solutions in a continuous effort to deliver a world-class customer experience
  • Drive teams inside and outside the organization to deliver complex cross-functional programs with high impact to the organization.
