About The Position

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is looking for a Civil Structural Engineer to make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far-reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities of the company. Negotiates critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies. Performs advisory and consulting work for the organization as a recognized authority for broad program areas or in an intensely specialized area. Role will be a hybrid work schedule with office work in Newark, Delaware as required as well remote work options.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in Engineering
minimum of 10 years related experience
average experience of 15+ years
Undergraduate degree required
Experience with roadway design
Experience in stormwater management
MicroStation
AutoCAD

Nice To Haves

Experience in railroad design a plus
Decarbonization – Energy Transition – Sustainability

Responsibilities

Work as part of a team to prepare construction quality documentation for civil engineering design projects.
Function as a civil project lead.
Provide design documents for facility site planning and development
Prepare erosion and sediment control design and specifications
