About The Position

The Technical Production Operations Engineer Intern/Co-op supports the Production Support Operations team by monitoring automated processes, identifying issues, and assisting with troubleshooting. The role offers hands-on experience with a financial services industry application and opportunities to develop technical skills, work with senior team members, follow documented procedures, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. This is an on-site position in Vestmark’s Wakefield, Massachusetts office, with a schedule of either 4:00 AM–12:30 PM EST or 12:30 PM–9:00 PM EST. The role participates in shift work as part of a 24/7 support team, potentially including evenings and early mornings.

Requirements

Interest in technical operations and enterprise software support.
Knowledge, understanding, and/or interest in the financial sector.
Ability to balance and manage multiple competing priorities.
Collaborative interpersonal skills and ability to work within cross-functional teams.
Self-starter who can use good judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Creative problem-solving and analysis skills.
Ability to handle problem situations quickly, inventively, and resourcefully.
Progress toward a BA or BS degree.

Nice To Haves

Experience with MS Windows, SQL, or Dynatrace.
A BS degree in Finance or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

Monitor and support automated batch processing jobs.
Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution under the guidance of senior team members.
Document technical procedures and update knowledge bases.
Escalate issues appropriately and collaborate with technical teams to resolve them.
Communicate with internal teams and contribute to proactive issue prevention.
Manage client expectations using excellent communication skills.
Partner with internal departments to deliver superior customer service.
Proactively support documentation development and refinement.
Participate in shift work, potentially including evenings and early mornings as part of a 24/7 support team.
