About The Position

The Technical Product Owner is responsible for driving solution definitions that support business ideas and product concepts at a team and program level through gathering and translating testable requirements into application software solutions. They have deep domain knowledge and strong experience in collaborating with diverse teams including product managers, software developers, testers, and teams such as Client Services, Operations, Clinical, Data Science, and Marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or significant equivalent work experience (Medical Bill Review; Group Health or P&C Medical)
  • Strong business analysis experience. 6-8 years minimum.
  • Excellent verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills; is a team player.
  • Very strong written skills showing the ability to convey functional details accurately in a well-structured and precise manner that describes end-user problems and solutions.
  • Proven problem-solving skills; logical and analytical.
  • Experience with systems modeling, user interface design, and prototyping, decision trees, data flow.
  • Solid experience in Scrum Agile development or Scaled Agile Framework; Jira experience desired.
  • Ability to learn the healthcare domain quickly. Prior healthcare experience desired.
  • Expert use of analysis, documentation, and presentation tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, etc.
  • Familiarity with data access tools such as SQL Developer, Toad, etc.
  • Prior exposure to HTML, SQL, XML, JSON
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • May require occasional travel not to exceed 20%.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and evaluate information objectively, considering different perspectives and potential implications before drawing conclusions or making recommendations.
  • Attention to Detail: must have a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Strong numerical skills are essential for conducting quantitative analysis, working with statistical methods and models, and manipulating data using mathematical operations.
  • Data Interpretation: skilled in interpreting data visualizations, charts, graphs, and other forms of data presentation to extract meaningful insights and communicate findings effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are crucial for conveying complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders clearly and understandably through written reports, presentations, and verbal discussions.
  • Curiosity and Learning Agility: A strong desire to learn and explore new methodologies, techniques, and tools in the field of data analysis and insights generation is essential for staying current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Resilience: The ability to handle pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and overcome setbacks is important in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous analytical environment.
  • Ethical and Integrity: Upholding ethical standards and maintaining integrity in handling sensitive data and information is paramount for building trust and credibility in the insights provided

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews and requirement workshops with a cross-disciplined team to elicit an understanding of business needs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and the development team to drive a solution that meets the program-level objectives and vision.
  • Document and maintain requirements (features and user stories) via collaboration with the product, business, and development teams.
  • Refinement of program backlog and preparation/readiness for Program Increment Planning.
  • Prioritize and maintain the team backlog in coordination with the Scrum Master and Delivery Lead.
  • Acceptance of user stories completed at the end of each iteration/sprint.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
