About The Position

LMI is seeking a Technical Product Owner to lead the development, delivery, and commercialization of digital solutions for federal customers. The position is part of LMI’s Sales Engineering team and combines technical product ownership, customer engagement, solution development, and business growth. The role owns the full product lifecycle, from understanding customer needs and setting product vision and strategy through technical delivery, architecture and deployment planning, business-case development, and support for customer acquisition and expansion. The Technical Product Owner works across engineering, sales, capture, delivery, and customer teams to turn emerging technologies and customer requirements into scalable, market-ready solutions. The role involves leading small cross-functional technical teams, engaging federal customers and end users, identifying reusable product capabilities and market opportunities, and guiding architecture, integrations, and federal deployment strategies. It also includes developing value propositions and business cases, supporting sales and capture activities, leading demonstrations and technical discussions, and measuring product performance and customer outcomes. The position is remote in the United States. Applicants must be eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance; LMI will consider only applicants with security clearances for this position, and only U.S. citizens are eligible for a clearance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full product lifecycle from customer discovery and requirements definition through technical delivery, deployment, adoption, and ongoing improvement.
  • Strong product judgment and customer empathy, with the ability to understand operational challenges, identify user needs, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Experience leading agile technical teams and managing backlogs, roadmaps, releases, priorities, tradeoffs, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Commercial awareness and experience supporting business development, including defining value propositions, developing business cases, estimating ROI, leading demonstrations, and supporting customer acquisition.
  • Technical fluency to lead architecture, integration, security, and implementation discussions with engineers, technical teams, and customer stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices, cloud technologies, APIs, enterprise integrations, DevSecOps, and software delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with federal software deployment and security requirements, including RMF, ATO processes, FedRAMP, DoD security requirements, and Platform One or comparable accredited environments.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across technical, business, and government audiences.
  • Ability to operate independently in dynamic, ambiguous environments, establish structure, drive decisions, manage competing priorities, and deliver measurable results.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens to be eligible for a security clearance, and LMI will consider only applicants with security clearances for this position.
