About The Position

As an undergraduate intern at Newport, you will partner with Product Marketing to support the day-to-day activities of the product marketing manager for the high-speed detector line. This is a 6-month intern/co-op assignment within a functional area of MKS Inc that provides students a comprehensive and engaging experience. The program includes meaningful work and project assignments, networking opportunities with peers and executives, exposure to different divisions of the business, and an understanding of MKS Instruments’ commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, material sciences or relevant majors
Technical and/or scientific knowledge learned from school
Open-mindedness to learning a wide range of technical and business tasks
Work habits of putting consistent efforts throughout employment
Organization skills to plan, prioritize, and close assigned tasks
Communication skills to exchange information clearly both with internal and external stakeholders
Data analysis, preferably in Excel

Responsibilities

Searching and collecting relevant market development and technical advancement of VCSELs and ethernet transceivers as directed
Collecting competitive product information to help support development of marketing and pricing strategies
Interaction with internal teams with various functions to help grow revenue and improve internal processes
Supporting development of product training materials for sales staff
Correcting, updating and improving product web page contents and marketing collaterals
Support on other day-to-day activities as required
