About The Position

DaVita is looking for a highly motivated Product Manager for its Clinical Protocol Portfolio who can analyze and translate user needs, observations, and functional requirements into legacy and future products. You will act as the conduit for requirements between our customer community, product management team, clinical operations, and development team in a highly collaborative and complex clinical environment. In addition to defining product requirements and specification to drive the engineering development process, you will also actively participate in the take-to-market strategy to assure product success. This is an opportunity to become part of the DaVita team and share in the excitement of developing new dialysis protocols that give life to patients. You will serve the role of Product Lead as part of an agile scrum development team and will be responsible for transforming business objectives and domain specific marketing requirements into actionable engineering stories, actively participate in Sprinting process and drive cost, content and planning tradeoffs throughout the development cycle. You will work closely with clinical product management, technical, and architecture leads in developing product concepts and technology roadmap. In addition to upstream activities, you will also participate in early customer success programs and reference site development - working closely with field operations, documentation, and product road-mapping.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of agile enterprise software development experience
  • 3+ years of requirements analyst or clinical analyst experience
  • Experience working with systems of complex workflows and configurations
  • Familiarity with an agile software development with Scrum methodology with ability to be effective in an iterative development environment
  • Healthcare information systems and clinical user experience required
  • Experience writing requirements for a software product; experience writing enterprise-class software requirements
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong presence with customers and partners
  • Strategic, creative thinker who can help synthesize multiple sources of domain information into product definition and design
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry (Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial) and understanding of related compliance and quality aspects
  • Exceptional customer facing skills both on the phone and written, with the ability to deal effectively with complex issues
  • Self-starter, with strong sense of ownership, assertive follow-through

  • Experience with clinical non-medication protocols strongly desired
  • Strong educational background, prefer technology background, with advanced degree (MBA or other) valuable

Responsibilities

  • Serve role of product lead in an agile with scrum development methodology developing software: define user stories, actively participate in Sprint process and manage cost, feature, and schedule tradeoffs throughout the development cycle
  • Transform business, market and clinical requirements into executable user stories for engineering
  • Effectively interface with cross-functional teams of clinical domain experts, market experts, program management, and HW/SW development teams in a new product development process
  • Validation of product functionality against market and product requirements
  • Rapid delivery of lo-fidelity wireframe mock ups to accompany user story and design requirements
  • Work with documentation team to provide support for specification sheets, user manuals, and operations handoff documentation
  • Facilitate beta tests and other customer feedback processes to validate product functionality and funnel new requirements and fixes back into development
  • Work with clinical and care process domain experts to define protocol clinical workflow and technical and integrated system requirements needed to satisfy the protocol workflow
  • Prioritize product fixes and enhancements based on input from customer
  • Work with developers and QA Engineers to produce and test new features and fixes
  • Become a product expert and subject matter expert on a portfolio of clinical protocol products
  • Work closely with customers to monitor customer satisfaction and initiate improvements
