Technical Product Manager, Kubernetes

Nscale
$200,000 - $280,000

About The Position

Technical Product Managers at Nscale own the definition, delivery, and ongoing evolution of a slice of the Nscale platform. You partner closely with engineering, design, research, and go-to-market teams to translate customer problems and business goals into shippable product outcomes. TPMs work across the full breadth of Nscale, from core infrastructure primitives to managed platform services, developer experience, and internal tools, wherever product leverage is needed. As a Technical Product Manager working with the Cloud Platform team, you'll support the execution and delivery of Nscale Kubernetes Service (NKS) and our broader orchestration and scheduling services. You'll work day-to-day with platform engineers and cloud native engineers to deliver managed Kubernetes and the orchestration primitives that power workloads across the Nscale cloud. You operate at team scope, executing on defined initiatives within a single team and growing into broader ownership as the product portfolio expands.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of product management experience in software or technology, with a track record of delivering in a defined product area.
  • Hands-on experience building or working on products on top of cloud platforms (hyperscaler or specialised cloud) and a strong working knowledge of how cloud-native services are designed, operated, and consumed.
  • Deep familiarity with orchestration and scheduling technology, Kubernetes in particular, plus adjacent primitives such as container runtimes, schedulers (e.g. kube-scheduler, Slurm, Nomad, Volcano), operators, service meshes, and workload autoscaling. Ideally from a prior engineering or software background.
  • Strong technical fluency: you can engage credibly with platform and cloud native engineers on architecture, trade-offs, and feasibility for distributed systems and multi-tenant platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage operational tasks and customer interactions independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; you can make complex technical product decisions legible to engineers, customers, and executives alike.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or prior experience as a platform, cloud native, or infrastructure engineer.
  • Experience shipping a managed Kubernetes service, container platform, or large-scale scheduling system.
  • Familiarity with GPU scheduling, accelerated computing, or running AI/ML workloads on Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CNCF ecosystem projects (e.g. Cluster API, Karpenter, Cilium, Istio, Argo, KEDA, Knative).
  • Experience building or contributing to product roadmaps in an infrastructure or platform context.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, enterprise software, or AI/ML products.
  • Experience operating in high-growth or early-stage environments.

Responsibilities

  • Execute on the delivery roadmap for NKS (our managed Kubernetes offering) and related orchestration and scheduling services on the Nscale cloud platform.
  • Partner closely with platform engineers and cloud native engineers to deliver managed control planes, node pools, networking, storage, autoscaling, and workload scheduling capabilities.
  • Run day-to-day delivery across multi-sprint initiatives, tracking progress and surfacing blockers from problem framing through launch and measurement.
  • Translate customer needs (AI/ML workloads, GPU scheduling, multitenant platform teams, enterprise operators) into well-scoped, actionable requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day customer interactions and calls, including weekly engagements with NVIDIA and other enterprise customers, acting as a reliable and technically credible point of contact.
  • Support planning, reviews, and team standups.
  • Contribute to metrics tracking across reliability, time-to-cluster, workload density, cost efficiency, and developer experience.
